What Sets the Stack Apart

Layer-First Framing

Every session is placed within the broader AI system diagram, so learners always understand which component they are working on and what sits above and below it.

Honest Scope Statements

Each programme states upfront what it assumes and what it does not cover. No inflated syllabi, no hidden prerequisites.

Mixed Cohorts by Design

Technical and non-technical learners are separated into the right programmes, so sessions stay at the appropriate depth without compromising either group.

GPU Credits Included

The fine-tuning programme includes compute credits, so learners are not blocked from running experiments by infrastructure cost.

Bilingual Reference Material

The introductory programme ships a glossary in both English and Malay, useful for learners who move between languages at work.

Written Feedback on Work

From weekly code review in the fine-tuning programme to written mock interview debrief notes — feedback is written, not verbal only.

FAQ

Common Questions

Do I need a programming background for the introductory programme?

No. The introduction is written for product managers, analysts, designers and operations staff. General computer literacy — using software at work, navigating files — is all that is assumed. No Python, no maths prerequisites.

What Python level is required for the fine-tuning programme?

Solid, working Python — functions, classes, file I/O, the standard data stack — plus prior exposure to deep learning concepts such as gradients, loss functions and training loops. If you have completed an introductory deep learning course and written training scripts before, you are likely in range.

Are sessions in person or online?

The introductory programme runs as evening sessions. Format — in-person at Ara Damansara or live online — is confirmed at enrolment depending on cohort size and logistics. The fine-tuning and portfolio programmes run with a mix of live sessions and asynchronous code review.

What happens during the portfolio programme's mock interviews?

Each mock interview is recorded and followed by a written feedback document covering technical accuracy, communication clarity and areas to develop. You keep the recording. No placement or referral service is attached — this is preparation and practice only.

Can I take the portfolio programme without taking other Bayang Labs programmes first?

Yes, if you have completed equivalent technical work elsewhere. The portfolio programme is open to anyone who has existing project work they want presented clearly. We will ask to see a brief overview of your background before confirming enrolment.

What is the refund or withdrawal policy?

Full details are in our Terms and Conditions. In general, withdrawals before the programme start date are eligible for a partial refund. Please contact us as early as possible if your plans change.

Is there a certificate on completion?

A completion record is issued upon finishing a programme. Bayang Labs programmes are not accredited by any external body and we do not make claims about credit transfer or regulatory recognition.
